==Persistence== Jetfire [workflow|objects] and classes(code) are automatically serialized and stored in a [workspace|workspace] or [namespace|namespace directory structure] on the [Server Nexus] when they are created or change. Persistence is a [First Class Constructs|first class attribute] within Jetfire that is transparently applied to objects and code. The server physical storage mechanism is typically a database or file system. Jetfire objects, including the state of executing programs, are persistent until they are deleted (and dereferenced), which may be from days to months, surviving computer shutdowns and even crashes. Objects and classes are automatically restored when a [client nexus] is created. Objects in the client nexus can be restored in a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Prevalence|system prevalence] manner or may be selectively restored by placing objects in a non-cached [workspace] and searching the server nexus. ===See Also=== * [Root Object] * [Jetfire Overview#hello world|Hello World example code] demonstrating persistence. * Blog article:[http://yourdotnetdesignteam.blogspot.com/2010/06/jetfire-object-persistence-is-tip-of.html|Persistence is the Tip of the Iceberg] * [Jetfire Overview]
